Hoops of Hope: Cliffe Woods Brings Heart and Hustle to Trust Basketball

What an exciting and action-packed evening at the Aletheia Trust Basketball Tournament! While Cliffe Woods may have finished in 5th place, we could not be prouder of the effort, heart, and resilience our team brought to the court. Every player gave their best, and it was a fantastic experience to compete alongside so many talented teams.

The teams that participated were:

  1. St. Botolph’s – 1st Place
  2. Holy Trinity – 2nd Place
  3. Halling – 3rd Place
  4. Saint George’s – 4th Place
  5. Cliffe Woods – 5th Place
  6. Stone – 6th Place
  7. Rosherville – 7th Place
  8. Shorne – 8th Place
  9. Sutton – 9th Place
  10. All Stars – 10th Place

We entered the tournament with one goal: to play our hardest and represent Cliffe Woods with pride. Our team displayed incredible hustle, working together to overcome every challenge thrown our way. While we didn’t claim a top spot, every game was a testament to the spirit of determination and teamwork that defines our school. We learned so much about resilience, strategy, and pushing through tough moments, and we couldn’t be prouder of our players.

A huge congratulations to St. Botolph’s, who took home the top prize, and Holy Trinity, who claimed 2nd place. Their skill and teamwork were outstanding, and it was a privilege to be part of such a competitive and spirited event. Halling, finishing in 3rd place, also played incredibly well, and we admired their performance on the court.

Looking ahead, we are already excited for the next chapter in the Aletheia Trust Games — Trust Rugby. The lessons we learned from the basketball tournament will carry us forward, and we can’t wait to bring the same energy, teamwork, and heart to the rugby field. Congratulations to every team who participated — it was a great experience for us all. Onwards to rugby, and here is to more great moments in the Aletheia Trust Games!
