Year 4’s Musical Extravaganza!
The entire school was treated to an unforgettable musical journey, courtesy of our incredibly talented Year 4 pupils! Their much-anticipated Music Extravaganza transported us through time, bringing iconic hits from the 1950s to the present day to life on stage. With vibrant performances and infectious enthusiasm, our young musicians truly dazzled us all.
The show kicked off in the pre-1960s era with a lively rendition of Mele Kalikimaka, setting a festive tone, followed by the rock ‘n’ roll classic Jailhouse Rock, which had everyone tapping their feet. Moving into the 1960s, we were serenaded with the timeless Stand By Me before heading to the surf-inspired vibes of Surfin’ USA.
The 1970s brought an electrifying atmosphere with We Will Rock You as the audience clapped along to the iconic beat, and then grooved to the disco classic Blame It on the Boogie. The energy continued into the 1980s with the heartfelt True Colours and the uplifting Don’t Worry Be Happy, a perfect reminder to embrace joy and positivity.
Stepping into the 1990s, the audience was treated to the vibrant rhythms of Apna Sanjeet – Vaje Apna Sanjeet, bringing a wonderful cultural blend to the show, followed by the much-loved You’ve Got a Friend in Me, which warmed our hearts. As we entered the 2000s, the excitement soared with We’re All in This Together, capturing the spirit of teamwork, and the thrilling instrumental performance of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Finally, the 2010s brought a touching conclusion to our journey with Count on Me, the delightful In Summer from Frozen and the inspiring When I Grow Up, leaving the audience feeling uplifted and inspired.
A huge thank you to our phenomenal Year 4 pupils and the dedicated staff for their hard work in bringing this incredible performance to life. Their passion, dedication and talent made this a truly memorable experience for everyone. Well done, Year 4!
